Christian’s Corner: Super Bowl
0Written By Christian Wright
The Super Bowl has passed. Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers have to wait until next season to taste victory in the NFL’s ultimate game. More importantly, the Denver Broncos have won.
There are many historical accomplishments to look at in Super Bowl 50, but none more relevant than the triumph of Peyton Manning in what could wind up being his final game in the NFL. What sweeter way is there to get your 200th career win than by doing so in the 50th Super Bowl game and walking off into the sunset as a champion?
It is unknown whether Manning will retire, but if it is the last time we see “The Sheriff” on the field as a player, then it has been more than a pleasure to see his career develop over the nearly two decades. Since his days with the Indianapolis Colts, Manning was one of the finest players to have ever played the game of football, and finishing off in this fashion is certainly a fitting end to his career.
