Baseball ends fall ball

The baseball team wrapped up its fall ball season last week looking to build on its fourth place finish last year in the Mid-South Conference Tournament. With the fall world series coming up, Assistant Coach Jason Stowers said, “Fall ball went very well. The team had a tremendous work ethic during the fall ball season. We are looking ahead toward the new season in the spring.” Pitching will be improved for the spring season. The team will have added depth and experience to the staff. Seems like things are turning around for the baseball team. “I think we should be stronger in every area of the game. Offensively, we have a lot of talent to replace, but our two-strike approach and situational hitting is much better, and I look for this to help us immediately,” Stowers said. The first game is the first week in February, and the fall world series starts Nov. 9.
