Chapel worships

“Today is the day that you make the difference between yesterday and today,” said Larry Blackburn.
On Tuesday, April 7, the chapel service seemed to perfectly fit the timing of the semester. The message was centered on Psalms 51, the story of David’s confession and cleansing. The purpose of this song is to tell that all people are equal, no matter their social status.
Blackburn said, “People have lost their joy and hope. This song is written for people who have had failures, a broken life, people that have given up.”
He later connected this story to an average college student. Under all of the stress that comes along with school, many students can become depressed and easily influenced. The group discussed that it is okay to make mistakes. In fact, mistakes are needed because mistakes can lead you back to God’s arms.
The service closed with prayer requests for the University of Pikeville as administrators seek a new president.
