Women’s basketball hangs with UK

Thursday, Nov. 6, the Lady Bears fell to the No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats 141-63.
The Wildcats started out strong with a 17-5 lead in the first four minutes of the game. The Wildcats’ size and athleticism took over as they shot 62.9 percent from the field including 11 three-pointers to lead 58-32 at halftime.
The Lady Bears were outscored 83-29 in the second half, and the Wildcats had three players in double digits. The Lady Bears shot 40.4 percent from the field and also had players in double digits as Kelah Eldridge had 12 points and Kayla Day right behind her with 11points.
The Lady Bears are to get back on their feet as they play Alice Lloyd Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Expo Center.
