737 continues on for the Fall semester

On Sept. 21, 737 took place on the hill in the Booth Auditorium. On Sunday nights, 737 starts at 7:37 p.m.
737 was opened by the band called Facedown Worship. The members of this band are Nick Carrillo, Robert Carrillo, and Gabriel Carrillo. They are brothers, and Nick and Gabriel have grown in Christ at UPIKE.
Rob Musick spoke at 737 this week. His main topic was simplicity. He said, “Simplicity is God’s gift of freedom for our very busy and complex lives.” If we stay busy and make up excuses why we can’t have peace in our lives, we just need to give God our all, and the rest will be given to us.
There were two Bible verses that Musick focused on Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well,” and Psalm 131:1-3, “My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content. Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.”
After Musick was finished talking, Facedown Worship came back to play. While they were playing there was Communion taking place to celebrate the body of Christ. The bread symbolizes the body, and the juice symbolizes the blood that was poured out of Jesus Christ body. Also, during Communion, people took time to worship and to connect with God. If you have any prayer that needs to be written down, there is a prayer board that sets in front of the stage.
At 737 you are not judged because Jeremy Tackett always says, “We are in this together.”
