UPIKE to chapel

Every week on the University of Pikeville campus, students are invited to come and participate in chapel on Tuesdays. Tuesday, April 15 education professor John Nelson came and spoke to UPIKE students and faculty.
Due to the fact that several UPIKE students are unable to go back home for Easter break, the week’s chapel gave some students an opportunity to come together with their UPIKE family and take a chance to worship.
“Sometimes with our busy schedules, it is hard to get to church, and spend time with our families,” said UPIKE junior Nik Lacey.
Many students enjoy the opportunity to come together with other students and share their story with other students and faculty through song, message, prayer, or in any way that they feel comfortable.
“Chapel is a safe place where we can come together and feel a sense of community with other students and get a chance to become closer with God,” said Lacey.
