Graham named MSC Player of Week
0University of Pikeville quarterback A.J. Graham was the Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday, Nov. 11.
The weekly honor is Graham’s second of the season after helping UPIKE improve to 6-4 overall on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Graham led Pikeville in passing and rushing in the Bears’ 38-34 win over Belhaven (Miss.) to earn the weekly award.
The Tallahassee, Fla., native finished 12-of-21 for 234 yards and three touchdowns through the air. On the ground, Graham rushed for 112 yards, including a season-long 66-yard keeper.
With his 234 passing yards, the junior eclipsed 2,000 passing yards for the season.
Graham is second in the MSC in total offense per game (271.8) and third in passing yards per game (246.1). His 13 touchdown passes are fourth best in the league. On the national level, Graham is ninth in total offense per game and 11th in passing yards per contest.
In the final game of the season against Union on Saturday, Nov. 16, Graham added to his totals. He was 17 of 23 for 306 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, while also rushing for a team-best 90 yards.
